A few life coaching exercises that I have picked up over the years are going to be in this article.  The reason that I choose these over the thousands that are out there is because these are a few of the most powerful and effective know.  They will take a little humility and some guts to get through but, the power that you will gain from them are priceless.  I have had a life coach consistently over the past 4 years and spent thousands of dollars on them.  All of them root back to these basic one.  They all lie on the foundation of these listed.  I certainly hope that these exercises will help you as much as they helped me.  Remember, it isn’t the destination but the enjoyment of the journey that is most important.  Also, these exercises will only work if you practice them.

Self Analysis

Self analysis for the coach and the student is the most important starting point to any personal development or coaching system.  In order to understand where you are going you must first know EXACTLY where you are.  Same rings true in life.  To get where you need to go.  You have o be completely honest about where you are now.  For some people that is pretty easy and for others that can be relatively hard.  Life coaching exercises are not easy, but neither is anything that is worth it.  For the  best written self analysis I have seen to date check out the book ‘Think and Grow Rich’ by Napoleon Hill.

Goal Setting

We all hear about it, from Oprah to biblical references they all speak about goal setting.  Every new year we have a tradition to set goals, most are forgotten by the first 30 days of the new year.  However I am going to impound this into your head.  If you do not have WRITTEN goals you have no direction.   You can argue this point as much as you want, but I dare you to prove me wrong.  The first year I wrote my goals down I hit a smoking 95% of them.  Without written goals I was around 10-15% completion of goals.  It is also extremely important to balance these goals.  I have 4 goals every quarter.  A spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental/wealth/liberty goal.  I also incorporate the S.M.A.R.T system.  S-specific, M-measurable, A-attainable, R-risky, T-timely.  This system has proven results for myself and many others.  Again, without WRITTEN goals you have no direction.

Communication

Communication is probably the most important of life coaching exersizes.  The more powerful a communicator the more powerful the person.  Communication is the key to everything.  Without it, nothing get done.  The great thing about learning great communication skill is that it will last a lifetime and you can never really master it.  There is always something more to learn that will make you more and more effective.  This also goes along with self analysis.  To understand where you are going you must know where you are at.  You need to find out what your personality type is and how you communicate to other personality types.

Formal and Dominate= Controller

Informal and Easy Going= Analyzer

Dominate and Informal = Promoter

Informal and Easy Going= Supporter

Understand where you are will greatly improve your skills in achieving more and more.

Clarity

From these basic life coaching exercises you will begin to establish clarity.  I think clarity is the most fun and rewarding of understanding yourself.  You will find clarity in all areas of your life and you will begin to dream dreams you never thought possible.  Many people wish for better confidence, however all masters know that confidence is a byproduct of clarity and direction.   There is much wisdom in the words ‘Know Thyself.‘  The more you understand yourself the more you will understand others.
